One month ago--leaving the USA!
Hosting a short-term team from Truman State University.
Erin and I with the AfricaHope staff here at 4am preparing for our 14 hour bus ride to Uganda!
It's been a month already of living in Kenya! I can't believe it. Things continue to go well. I'm figuring my way around town, preparing to stay with a Kenyan family for a week and head to Nairobi for a few weeks of intense language study. I've been to Uganda and back (we crossed the Equator and the Nile!) to help with the Passion World Tour (a team from the USA of pastors & worship leaders who are traveling around the world holding a conference for college students. 20,000 Ugandan students showed up!), helped train a short-term team, welcomed the team 0f 13 NMSI summer interns and I'm seeing lots of progress as the AfricaHope facilities are prepared for our Grand Opening on July 12. We've had 4 short-term projects here since I've arrived! If you are interested in visiting by coming on a short-term project, visit www.nmsi.org and check out details!

ReplyDeleteHello from Indiana,
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to get a card from you! With all that you have going on, I can't believe you still take the time to send ADORABLE cards. Too cute!
It looks like you are having an amazing time so far. Praise God! Neil and I are continuing to pray that God will make it clear where He wants us. We anticipate He will reveal that to us during COAT. (It feels so good to finally say that!)
I love you love you love you and I am so thankful that you followed the Spirit to Kenya. You are amazing, Ashleigh Leenerts! Looking forward to working with you more!! In the meantime, I'll be on the lookout for more good teammates for you :)
